Software for notes

I used my old phone a lot for note taking and it got to the point where I had 100+ sms stored on it.
Is there an application that let's you take more advanced notes, just so you can save longer files and edit them without typing them up as sms's.

SE phones have a application called notes. I dont think its super advance but it works for me.
