Java apps locking up phone?

I think i've come to the conclusion that it seems to happen whenever i have a java based application open and i let the phone go into standby for a few minutes (like 10 or more.)

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Is it really the java apps causing it? Is there a fix?

For now, i'm just making sure i close java all together before putting/letting the phone go into standby

Try installing a different version of java. I believe the one that everyone likes is Esmertec's jbed. People saye that that one has less issues then the other ones. If you already have that try uninstalling those java programs and then reinstalling them. Good luck!

Hmm, i just tried installing the esmertec jbed, and kept getting a bunch of errors. I guess it's made for wm5, and i'm running wm6 on the newer ROM also.
