I have an Motorola (Alltel) E815, which I think may be in the late stages of dying. Just last week I tried to charge the phone when it went into a boot cycle (before the home screen it would reboot to the alltel splash screen and repeat). If I moved the charger (connected to the phone) up and at an angle then it charged like normal.

I needed to get something off MPT tonight and everything I thought was going ok, well it wasn't. I got to where the phone appears and it said modem is not connected. What the heck does that mean? I set up the phone again (through MPT) and it acted like it was connecting to only say the same modem is not connected thing.

Is there anyway I can get past this or maybe use a cheap bluetooth usb dongle to avoid my bad charger/data link area?
