I have this phone and was wondering if it could be unlocked so it can be used in usa markets?

No it can not be used outside of Japan, there is no unlock method.

Nope, not for any network stuff. It does make a cool media player, though,　so it's more than just a nice-looking paperweight (and I wish SE would bring that to the US- even though it's an old model it's still cooler than any of the stuff they have in the US right now).

(it just struck me- I thought that the P905i was unique in doing that horizontal flip. Apparently not)

yep. I've seen that samsung flip phone that does the W-open style a while back already. However, it looks way too ugly compared to P905i

Ooh right, forgot about that one. I've only seen one of those, though. And it's boring, whereas the W44S has that unforgettable look and the P905i has that sleekness going for it.
