Sony Ericsson K800i or Samsung D900i?

Which phone is better, the K800 (K800i in Australia) or the D900i Without just saying go for the cheaper one, unless they way too similar)? Which phone has the better features? Which ones screen looks best? Besides looks and camera what features does one phone have that's better than the other?? Does the battery on one last way longer than the other, or same, or one lasts just a bit longer?

So pretty much which phone is better out of these 2. Also keep in mind that 3G doesn't matter for me as a feature I never use the 3G features.

first of all both of them are old phones now there are phones which are alot better in the market but i have used both of them and i will go with K800 it is a amazing phone D900 is good but not as gr8 as K800

Between those 2 phones the k800 is the better choice. The d900 is very small and pretty, I think it has a slightly bigger screen too. But the k800 has a much better camera since it has xenon flash. They both suck at video, the k800 sucks more though. The k800 will have a better battery. The d900 can't multitask, but can background the music player. Pretty sure the k800 can background java apps.

I bring out my d900 once in a while. Not being able to multitask is what ruins the phone for me. Battery is pretty bad too. Maybe check out the g600 instead of the d900. But would still take a k790 over the g600. Having xenon is awesome.

Yeah I know these phones are old now but I don't want to pay too much for a "new" phone for me.

Hmmm I din't think multitasking is something I do with phones haha but yes the k800 camera is better which is a turn on for me but from comparng pics to me isn't hugely noticably better but still is the better still pic camera.

I am definately leaning more towards the K800, anyone else got opinions on which is better of these 2 phones?

Go with the Sony Ericsson anytime over the Samsung. At least you can customize the message tone with your own unlike the Samsung which forces you to use a preset tone. As for the camera, the SE is better with the flash as mentioned. The SE is much more customizable in the sense that you can create your own themes for the phone and upload them easily.

Hmmm, themes doesn't really matter for me but looking at youtube vids the themes that Samsung give you doesn't look so good and I do want my phone to look good and I always have my phone on silent so I don't worry about a message tone haha.
I like the K800i better from what I've seen has better battery and camera and modding can be done to it to make it's camera and video camera better and flash it with I think K810 (something like that) firmware and the screen on it from what I have seen imo looks better with colours and that I'm just hoping that if I do go with K800i that I won't regret it and not use all it's features and think I should've gone with the cheaper and better looking D900i but I'm sure I'll love k800 if I get it everyone else seems to.

Also are the buttons on K800i really that bad? Is the phone really that thick?

yes they are. they're very fiddly and difficult to press conveniently. the k800i is a member of the 'Keypads from Hell' phones. go to a shop and try it out to see for yourself.

i would have the d900i over the k800, easily. more reliable, more comfortable to use. the only drawback of the d900 compared to the k800 is the lack of customisation options.

Yer was thinking try get a feel of them first and if I really hate the K800 keypad well that could possibly make up my mind depending on how bad I would think it is.

hmmm, might also now add in the Samsung U700 seems to have dropped in price here in Australia now. How does this phone compare to the other 2? Well more with the K800 coz I'm assuming this Samsung model would be better than D900i since it costs AU$100 more
