Mogul 6800 EMail not working except on wifi.

Not sure whats wrong Im on cricket wireless and having some problems here. i can surf the internet no problem at all. I can MMS but when i am not connected to a wifi i can not do emails or use applications like skype or yahoo ppc messenger i just get a connecting screen that never goes a way. i see the internet data lights the arros around the bars going but nothing.. i have the wap.mycricket.com on my phone but that does not work for email. Any suggestions on whats wrong here? or is cricket just not able to do this ? I dont got edvo here in san antonio when i asked them when signing up i was told by the end of summer.
