Why I think the 3G iPhone might be coming soon...

My best friend who works at an AT&T store is the SSR there which means he's the one who checks in their daily inventory.

so he's been telling me their iPhone shipments have been very scarce now for almost a month or so. he tells me he use to receive the 8GB iPhones by the cases at a time, but now he's only getting two or three here and there. and this isn't just with his store, but also the surrounding stores as well.

this is making us believe that Apple is slowly but surely trying to clear out their remaining stock of first generation iPhones to make room for the next batch. of course this is just my inside AT&T information which doesn't mean all that much but it does make sense.

and so the 3G iPhone wait continues on....

Here's one, though with different reasoning. Of course, this is a rumor but it's interesting.

I believe both lean toward a new iPhone coming soon. I was actually hoping for a release of the iPhone during WWDC earlier in June. I guess its possible Apple announces it then and releases it at the end of the month.

The email to att employees about vacation time between June 15 and July 15 due to an exciting product launch. History repeats itself. June 27th sounds about right
