New Venus, can't fire up BitPim for the life of me.

I'm running Win xp off boot camp on my mac osx leopard, provider is telus. I downloaded the usb driver, and i've tried using the 8700 and the 8550 phone setting but no matter that I do. I get:
BitPim version: 0.9.09-official

granted I'm a noob at this, but I really dont think that it's because of my noobness that I can't get bitpim to access the phone, I think is has somethign to do with telus security. Can anyone help me with this...

You might want to try the latest version of BitPim, if not even the latest test version (since both are pretty far ahead of the much older version that was mentioned).

Isn't there a Mac version available on the Bitpim website? Also, I have been able to use the Debian package on my Linux box with no problems. Sorry, not really a Mac guy. There's lots of people who have Macs working w/ Bitpim though. Keep searching on here and I'm sure you'll find their threads.
