Phone is Locked To Provider?

Hello,

I recently brought an HTC Touch and the guy told me that it is already unlocked. The best and easiest way to check if that is true is to put in another SIM card from another provider but I currently can't get a hold of another SIM card.

I browsed through the phone settings, no where does it tell me that the phone is unlocked. Can you guys tell me where to check?

go over to www.xda-developers.com elf (touch) forum and use their cid/sim unlocker to check if your phone is unlocked.

Rogers does not usually sell totally unlocked phones. It maybe sim unlocked but CID locked.
