Hi, searched to no avail. so please don't flame me. Please help.

My friends phone is stuck in recovery mode and can't restore any firmware.
I had used ZiPhone 2.5 to unlock to 1.1.2 firmware 4.6bootloader about 3 months ago.

I tried all, in recovery & dfu modes. Tried using Itunes 7.4/7.5/7.6. Just sticks to apple logo, and spinning wheel for over 30 mins. and then error message. Had all sorts 1012,1015,1604,1,6 etc...

Can't load any firmware. can't dial out. and now can't get ibrickr to restart back to the emergency slider. when it did work i heard high pitched beep whenever I slid the slider or dialed along with normal touch tones too. ??
used ziphone/iliberty to make sure its in dfu modes. tried iphone tools.tried winpwn beta pc version. no luck

I'm guessing my basebands all screwed up. can't dial anymore, so don't know whats bb or firmware.

Anybody have any ideas for me to try or am I outta luck. ??

Thanks.

I feel your pain... sorry dude, I don't have a definative solution for you.

I was restoring my iPhone today and iTunes gave me an error and it scared the hell out of me. I closed iTunes, unplugged the iPhone and plugged in it to a different USB socket and attempted again. Fortunately for me, the restore was successful.

something like that happened to me the other night.

I was screwing around with my iPhone trying to do something and all of the sudden my iPhone got stuck in "The Matrix" mode meaning it wouldn't do anything but flash numbers up and down the screw. turning the phone on and off didn't do anything. I thought my F-ed up my phone bigtime.

I then got lucky and I was able to restore it through iTunes, finally. this taught me a valuable lesson. leave the freakin' phone alone before you do turn it in to a $400 paperweight!

I had mine stuck in reco mode and use Liberty to Jump out of recovery mode while I had Itunes open and was able to restore that way. Don't know if you tried doing that when you used Liberty or but it worked for me.

ya, was able to get it out of recovery with iliberty finally. but when I restore any firmware it just hangs in itunes. so I guess it doesn't really finalize the restore. as after hours of waiting I just pull the cable off and get the error(9). but I can then reboot, goes to recovery mode, then use iliberty to kick it into normal mode. I then proceed to jailbreak, activate and unlock. now am able to get into the iphone springboard etc.
BUT, now have 114 04.04.05g an NO wifi/bt/imei/iccid. WTF? its still useless.
don't know what to do now.

Did you ever solve this problem. I have this same problem identical to yours and I took it in somewhere and they said that it was the Communications Board. It needs replacing they say. Just wondering if you managed to fix it without replacing HW
