Call T-Mobile to unlock 6103

I bought a 6103 off ebay a few weeks ago and need to unlock it from T-mobile.
I am not a customer, but can I still call and have them unlock it? Do I need to come up with a good story about why I need it unlocked, or are they fairly open to helping me out?

the general rule is that you must be a customer for 90 days before they will give you the unlock code. if you meet that requirement, they really don't care why you want to code, they just get it for you. since you're not a customer, you can try,but i don't think they will give you the code.
