Well, I searched and couldn't come up with anything. I hate this stupid iPhone more and more every day, and I am planning on ditching it soon. I might like a QWERTY but for now, lets compare the shine and z9/v9.

I text a lot, I've tried the shines keyboard and it doesn't bother me one bit to text on, so that's out of the way. The most important things to me is the call volume (main reason I am ditching my iPhone, almost impossible to hear), and the reception. My house is okay as far as this goes, my iPhone, d807, and w580i almost always have full reception and make calls perfectly. However, I know LG's tend to not get reception as well as Moto's, but I'm willing to spare a few bars if the other features are good enough.

I generally like the Shine's UI, and don't remember having a problem with the UI on the v3xx (minor tweaks since then, but nothing major.) I do occasionally take pictures, and know the shine takes great ones. The flash is another great thing. I also like to make my own ringtones and have the ability to customize my phone (I'm not talking about modding it, I have absolutely no clue nor desire to hack moto phones) without problems. So breaking it down, in order of priority, call volume, overall volume, reception, customization, camera.

Sorry for being too picky, but I plan on actually keeping the phone for a while this time. It's getting too expensive to keep switching phones every few months

What about that little nub of a joystick on the Shine? Was that ok for ya? I didn't like that at all when i messed with it for a few seconds, then again, i do hate ALL joysticks.

Another thing i would consider, is the web browser on the Shine as good as Opera 8 on the Motos (which is really good).

Now for the last, AMR-HR, is it gonna be a problem? Can you disable it on the Shine if needed, or is the Shine pretty good at AMR-HR quality....

Oh completely forgot. I rarely use the internet on my phone, and looking forward to not having a data plan to pay for every month. The joystick didn't bother me either. I might still go with a blackjack 2 or maybe not even get rid of it, but just in case I get really fed up..

For some reason I really like the z9, but almost as much as the shine. They are so similar featurewise, with the 2mp camera's with flash, slider design, and 3g.. It's so confusing!

I use an iPhone and a V3xx for calls. I can't see myself dumping the iPhone anytime soon though (maybe when the 3g one comes out

).

If you are dumping the iPhone definitely go with a qwerty phone

As I looked at both of these phones in more detail compared to the blackjack 2, I am definitely going for a QWERTY. I can't edit this, but maybe it will come in use later if someone searches for the same thing.
