I was updating my new 1.1.3 iPhone (activated refurb from ATT) to 1.1.4 though iTunes (Shift and Restore). That worked fine. I launched Ziphone 3.0 and did the One Click option. Eveything was looking good, text scrolling across the iPhone display, Ziphone looking ok, Saw the Zoro picture on the iPhone come and go, then nothing for about 10 mins, no further progress on both the application and phone. I stopped Ziphone.

Now my iphone is showing some white text when I try to do anything. When I plug it in to the cable, it starts to display with text. Itunes doesn't seem to see it. I was in a rush this morning so I couldn't really read it to tell you what is said and I was getting frustrated so I held the top button and the round button and it shut off.

I want to try to fix it when I get home today.

Did I mess it up? is there a way to fix it?

i hope you have learned your lesson for using ZiPhone.

Enter DFU mode..

restore 114.

use winpwn or liberty+

Does the text say "BSD Root: md0, major 2, minor 0" ?

Maybe you can try this:

Well I am OK!!!!!

I got it to work. I held the Pwr button and home button down to start, got the Itunes logo and cable on the screen, launched itunes and restored with 1.1.4 firmware, then tried Ziphone again and it work flawlessly.

I think this is partially my fault because i hadn't rebooted my laptop in a while. I was just shutting the laptop face and puttin it in sleep mode. Before I did anything this time, I rebooted.

This is the 4th unlock I have done with Ziphone but the next one I do, I will definitely broaden my horizons.

Thanks for the replies.

Good to hear... happy ending!!

Yeah... I've used Ziphone a few times with success too, but I decided to play around with iLiberty+ today.
