Opinions?

I know they're pretty much all different phones and uses, with the main similarity being all touchscreen.

But if YOU had your choice, which one would you choose and why?

Get the iPhone.

Viewity!! Mine is great!

Haha...whats really funny is...the 3 of us are from TX! Hey dimsum05. I'm in Dallas too

First it would depend on what you want from your phone. That would make a big difference.
I didn't vote for the KU990, cause it is only tri-band. Not a big deal really but T-Mobile has roaming agreements with AT&T which uses a lot of 850mhz, so if you travel any where out side of your coverage you may or may not get service.
I didn't vote for the iPhone cause well I owned it & as a phone it just doesn't compete.
It has just enough to wow for a little while then it's like why can't I do this. But biggest issue poor phone (reception) quality, speaker is horrible.
Which leaves the Touch, while I say no to the Touch the Touch Enhanced (P3452) gets my vote. But like I said it depends on what you really need. It may not have the wow factor of the iPhone's looks, but it more than makes up for it in form factor & what it can do that the iPhone can't. Not to mention Call quality is 100x better than the iPhone. Same with Speaker.

aaaaah....thanks for the excellent insight cokeman73.

That was one of my main concerns about the iPhone - the "WOW" factor would eventually wear off. And everyone and their mom and girlfriends etc has one.

Hmmm...

I'd go with the Touch. A buddy of mine just picked up Verizon's version and even with the carrier branding, it's a pretty impressive workhorse. Believe it or not, I really like the many different touch input methods on the Touch over the auto correcting keyboard on the iPhone. Having a virtual T9 is a blessing for someone used to a hardware keyboard.

Tell me about it. I couldn't walk 50 feet through the airport today without seeing someone with it. When everyone's special, no one is, as they say.

i'd choose the Nokia N95-4

seriously, I'd wait for the 3g iPhone to come out in June, then make my decision. I'm curious if it's gonna be the same old iPhone with 3g slapped on. If so, no go for me. If that's the case I'd go with the Touch

It's just everyone keeps on making these "OMG!!!11!WhAT FONE IS BETER iFonEZ or n95/n82/E90/DIAMOND!!!!O_O WTFBBQ" threads like 40 times a day.

THERE IS NO BETTER PHONE! They each have their own pros and cons that have been been thoroughly discussed and explained with text, graphs, pics, and videos in billions of prior threads that have about 300 pages each!! Do we really have to start a new thread!!!!

If you compare the iPhone to anything, you might as well get it because, sooner or later, you will fall for the hype anyways, no matter what we say... so I just give up!

Let the public have their Apple phone. Everyone want's to wear the Apple leash!

blah i got bored with the iphone the first time after 3 months and the 2nd time after 1 month. in between I had a Tilt and N95-3. I think the N95-4 will keep my attention a little longer. At least till the Diamond/x1/n96-3(?) are released.

Thats not true. They are not all equal. The iPhone didn't do as good as my V3xx, but My v3xx didn't do as good as my N75 & none of them were as good as my E6. I'm referring to the phones reception, sound quality during calls. The rest is extras & each user prefers something different.

By phone I meant entire device.

Ok, I have owned the htc touch for a week, and I live in chicago. I took the phone to las veags with me on business and I had nothing but droped calls, poor bluetooth , the speaker was horrible and the internet hardly worked, I dont know about you, but I need all these to work for me 100% of the time and htc phones have never had the kind of quality that works for the business person. NOW, the iphone does, great quality , texting in streams so it looks like one conversation with one person, bluetooth is by far the best I have had on any phone , and I have had one dropped call in two weeks (4000 min later)
I think that apple is the way of the future with voip, ( there is no wifi on the htc) with the texting age , the microsoft big business people converting, and did I mention it still has a music player on it that is by far the "standard " in the world for mp3's

By Bluetooth, you mean Bluetooth headset, right?

The Touch does indeed have WLAN, unless you were using the VX6900 from Verizon, which has the feature disabled. If that be the case, you're also comparing phone quality on two devices on two different networks in two different cities, which, probably doesn't contribute to all of the difficulties you had with it, but it certainly could be the causes for some of it.

If you think they're the future, do you honestly see Apple stomping out ALL other competition and everyone will be running around with their iPhones? Keep it in perspective. The Touch has its own weaknesses, but if you needed to do anything with Bluetooth aside from use a headset, record a video, or send an email with anything but a single picture, the iPhone would have been no help to you at all.

Most of the complaints on the Touch sound like reception issues & only happened when in Vegas.
The Touch does have Wi-Fi I use it every day (GSM Version). You can do Voip with it as well. As for the iPhones mp3 player it's good but it's been trumped according to some reviews.

You complain about bluetooth on the Touch & praise it on the iPhone when it's crippled to death.
What do you mean by "the microsoft big business people converting"?

Email is super important to me and I need to be able to have my emails sent to my phone. How is the email client on the iPhone? How does it handle attachments etc?

Posted by: JonnyBruha

It has push email through Yahoo that doesn't quite work right and you can only view attachments. You can not download or modify them. Push support for other email should be coming with future firmware updates, but who knows.

Posted by: red.octane.aero

Blaaah...screw it. TOUCH IT IS I rely too much on emails (mainly Gmail) but I need to be able to DL pics and files from emails too.

Thanks for the input guys.
