Java system lockup on I870

For some time now when I try to enter the java system the screen says "initializing java system" and never goes any further.

It doesn't happen all the time but seems more often when the phones been on for a while. It happens almost every morning then I turn off the phone for 20 seconds or so and it works. Sometimes it doesn't and I power off again and it will start.

I only use Opra, the calculator, google maps and the pedometer.

I found this thread:
Cucullin's post

Cucullin's post is the third from the top and says:
Quote:
If you're having trouble with Java, it isn't the SIM.

Do this instead:

Press Menu
Highlight 'Java Apps'
Press Select
Highlight 'Java System'
Press Menu
Highlight 'Reset System'
Press Select

If this doesn't work, try 'Format System' instead of 'Reset System', and remember that you will need to re-download your java apps once you format, so try a reset first.

I tried the reset and it didn't help. I looked for 'format system' and all I see under 'reset system' is 'delete all'.

So I'm ready to 'delete all' but I wonder how I will re-download my java apps afterword.

I remember when upgrading the firmware that the software deleted the java apps and reinstalled them. And I've used the assorted webjals to work on the phones wallpaper, ringers and java apps.

So after I delete all the java apps does it take out the whole system? Do I reinstall only the apps I need through the webjal or whatever. Does the phone leave an option in java to download the apps or do I go looking in some yet non-disclosed interwebs place that is forbidden to be mentioned in the Howardsforms (He that shall not be named!)

I like my I870. Can you help me bring it back?

Thanks
