Kaiser owners: Has this ever happened to you?

As we all know, the Kaiser's screen powers off after a few minutes to conserve battery life. Normally, all one needs to do to turn the screen back on is to push the power button. However, last night I kept trying and nothing happened. I knew the phone was still on because of the blinking green LED. The key lock was on, and I tried pushing where the unlock button on the screen would be, but that didn't work either. In fact, no combination of button or screen presses would work. I took out the stylus and did a soft reset, and then the strangest thing happened.

The screen went into the red, blue, green mode, or bootloader mode. Now, when I pushed a button, nothing happened, but I was stuck in bootloader. Even a soft reset put me back in bootloader. I started freaking out and scoured the 'net to see if I could find anything. I saw that it happened to a few people after they tried to reflash their ROMs, but never just by itself. I'm not sure if I put the phone in bootloader accidentally when I was pushing buttons and trying to revive the phone. My last resort was to take the battery out.

Luckily, that worked! I did a soft reset a few more times just to make sure that the phone was fine, and it seemed to work ok.

Does anyone have any idea what happened? What is the sequence for putting the Kaiser in bootloader, because I want to know if I did it or if it just went into that mode by itself.
