hello forum iam looking for some help , i have been reading alot in the forums but i couldnt find what i was looking for , so i wanna see if you guys can help it will be greate , well i get a discount through my company and iam a college student , soo im poor basically , i was thinking i do alot of txting with my peeps , i just switchd to cingular , i have the 450 minuts plan with MEdia Net Unlimited , , but i dont have the txting plan cuz i cant really afford it , so my question is there an application that uses data for texting , i lookd at skype but i dont think it uses txt to cell phone and im+ its only for imming not to phone txt, i want some thing tht u can send txt and recive txt back , any ideas with be very help full thank you in advance .

i don't know of any way to receive texts without paying. and i'm not sure if cingular's website does this, but t-mo's website allows you to text from the website. i don't believe you get charged for the sending from the site. so you could literally send tons of texts without paying. i don't know if anyone else knows of a way. this is the only thing i can think of. good luck.

You can use Gmail. Just text all the people though gmail (all carriers have email addresses ex. 8652347743@att.net) and tell them to save that address for you, then just set up your email account to your phone.
