Charging the HTC shadow

I was wondering what the best way is to charge the HTC shadow, do most of you guys charge it with the USB or with the AC adapter?

My last samsung's battery messed up because I would charge it even though it's only halfway empty. So I was wondering if this would happen too to my HTC shadow. According to the Shadow's manual, it says you only use the AC adapter when it's critically low.

What are you guy's opinion on this?

I don't understand? It's a smart Li-polymer battery, right? It shouldn't matter. In fact, smart Li-batteries should do best with more frequent partial charges. The thing that is bad for them is deep cycle discharges, that's why the built-in smart circuitry typically disconnects power to the device when the batter reaches something less then full discharge, so that it is near impossible to fully discharge a smart Li-battery.

So you should be able to use the AC adapter, a USB cable to a computer, a car charger, a solar charger, a battery-powered backup charger - whatever and whenever. And frequent charges after little discharge should not effect it adversely at all. The whole point of smart Li-battery technology is you use it and charge it however is most convenient for you - the battery doesn't care (unlike NiCad or NIMH where the charge/discharge pattern can matter).

Personally, just so I know my Tilt is as charged as possible when it is on the battery, I plug it in whenever it's easy to do so. I have an AC charger at work and home and one in the car, and I just plug it into one of those whenever I'm at those places. I honestly don't pay any attention to how discharged it is (or is not, as the case may be).

Yea, I thought it uses the same principle as rechargeable batteries where you shouldn't charge them unless their empty.

that's the answer I needed , thanks for your reply.
