1. Call Waiting - It does work. You have to activate it in 'Menu' -> 'Service' -> 'Call Waiting'. When someone calls, you just press the call button to put somebody on hold. Call forwarding doesn't work though 2. Battery Consumption - Since we're using GSM mode our battery life is shorter compared to 3G mode, but it's not that bad. I never turn off my phone and I can go a few days without charging the phone, which is fine for me. The only times I feel that the battery life is short is if I turn up the brightness, watch lots of videos or play games 3. Poor Reception - I have to really disagree with this one, but it's very subjective because we are all located in different areas with different providers and different SIM hacks. For me, I always have 3 bars and never lost signal a single time. And this is with the $20 SIM hack 4. Data Transferring - I don't have a USB cable, so getting music on my P905i is nearly impossible. Everything else is fine as long as I make the right folders and rename them properly 5. Ring Tone - I don't care for fancy ring tones, so this doesn't affect me ![]() |

Most places I go (including my friend's basement) I still get at least 2/3 full reception. The only time it cut out was when I walked into a mall under renovation which had a faraday cage effect. |

@ ryanfok: My reception is usually at 3 bars but in some location it will drop to 2. It rarely reaches 1 or 0 bars. I've had a weird recent outtage downtown but when I got back home it reconnected. This is also from a $20 sim hack. I want to try call waiting but I haven't encountered a situation where I needed it yet lol.. |

2) I haven't tried that yet, but I think that's a USB limit. If you transfer it via MicroSD adapter you can put videos as large as your MicroSD can hold. The only draws I see are 1) Lack of 3G feature in North America 2) No GSM 850 3) No "flash light" feature like SE America does 4) Bluetooth cannot be used to transfer files |

This is NOT to be confused with the Next V7 sim that allen sells. The one that I use is from Alven and not Allen they are two different sellers that claim to have a Next sim V7 >_> and honestly I don't trust Allen much.
And I'm pretty sure its the sim hack because not a lot of people have that problem. It's probably better to buy off a Ebay member so we have an idea of what type of sim hack it is since most of the sims look the same to me. @ryanfok >_> A lot of sim brands have the words I-smartsim2008 on them lol so its hard to tell them apart. But your HYPERSIM package that says made in taiwan does it look like this package. Also is the chip on the hypersim on the side or the middle, and does it have the words INEX 128 on it or is it scratched out. ![]() |

The hypersim I bought awhile ago was labeled with nothing and the chip was on the center (like the picture on the package) and had inex128 on the chip. But then again I haven't bought the newer hypersims from ebay so I wouldn't know if they changed the layout of the sim. So to be honest I'm not sure why you have the screeching problems it might be the P905i's problem. As for reception I get great reception and I live in scarborough....that I have no clue I think its a issue with rogers then lol >_> As for the battery life, the phones battery is only 770mah don't expect too much out of it lol I have to charge my phone every 1 1/2 days since I use it quite often (not just for calling) |
