Telus BB curve 8330 question

I downloaded and installed the Telus BB 8330 Device Software and now when I plug in my BB Desktop Manager doesn't recognize that there's a device plugged in although my memory card still mounts. Tried uninstall and reinstall of Desktop Software and Telus Device Software but no luck. Running window xp. help me out on this one thanks in Advance
