Has anyone purchased or plan on purchasing the Instinct?

Seeing as how it's not out yet, purchasing isn't an option.

I'm hesitant about it. There's no multi-touch, so some of the "magic" of the interface is gone. Samsung is also offering more of a feature phone with elaborate controls than a smartphone, so it's almost targeted at a different audience.

Moreover, any time a company is so clearly trying to ape the success of a rival, it rarely goes well. You often get a poor clone rather than a superior alternative.

Look at the Gleam..Thats what your looking at for Sprint only without a keyboard.

i wouldnt get it just because i dont like virt keyboards

Isn't that like saying the Voyager is an iPhone with a keyboard?

We're talking LG versus Samsung, so there will be a different interface even if they both had the same hardware controls. And the Instinct's interface was helped along by Sprint, so it's not even identical to the Samsung F490 (which is effectively the GSM version of the Instinct).
