I have a week 2 phone that I jailbroken with zipone months ago. I have BL 3.9
Should my phone be on BL 4.6? If so should I go ahead and do it?

I don't think it came with 4.6...

unless you have a week 45+ phone.

I have a week 42 phone and supposed to have 3.9, I upgraded my BL to 4.6 using Bootneuter successfully.

I'm interested. What's the reason to upgrade your BL to 4.6? Is there any advantage over just leaving it on 3.9 if everything seems to be working fine?

I want to go back to the original when I first got it. What do I need to do. I guess my bootlaoder is OK????

OK it seems that I can just do a restore. I want to click on new phone because Im having some issues with useing the TV cables and I watch a lot of movies. The only thing Ill really miss is ringtones. Will I loose all of my contacts??????

zoeconner unless you bought the phone the second week after it came out, last june or whenever it was, it isn't week 2. i believe it could mean the 2nd week of 2008, which means 4.6bl.

yes if you restore and set up as a new device (which is always recommended) you will lose your contacts. however, you can sync you contacts to your computer, the syncing is done to address book on mac, not sure what it is on pc. but you can probably mess around with the settings in the info tab in itunes and see if you can get it synced.

there is no advantage at all to go to 4.6bl that i know of, especially if your phone came with 3.9bl. the only reason to go up to 4.6bl that i can think of is if you've been downgraded and are planning on returning it.

I bought mine the 2 day it came out. I been having problems with my phone and thinking I might return it. So If I redo it Ill be OK?

If you bought it the 2nd day it was released (assuming you're in the USA) then it's supposed to be 3.9. You're OK. If you need to claim warranty, just do a restore.

I have a week 41 phone and I upgraded my Bootloader from 3.9 to 4.6, I don't notice any difference. If your phone is working fine, don't bother upgrading.
