I don't know anything about the myfaves, but I would say $130 is a pretty good deal for the Pearl. Especially since it is brand new and you don't have to sign a contract. I bought my Pearl a little over 4 months ago, and since I was 1 year into my contract I had to pay full retail--$479.99+tax = $508. I would have been more than happy to find one for $130.

$130 is a VERY good price for brand new Pearl. Check out eBay for the going rate on auction. I bought a well used Pearl for $120ish

I just sold my used 8130 for $225 on eBay!!! Take it! But why do you have to ditch your MyFaves plan?

Price sounds good. Full upgrade with 2 year contract is $99 so $130 with no contract is outstanding.

No reason to give up your MyFaves plan. The Pearl maybe MyFaves compatible -- not sure if they always have been but the current ones are. Even if it weren't, you can still use MyFaves on a non-MyFaves phone. You just can't change the myFaves numbers from a non-MyFaves phone (must do it online or from a MyFaves phone).

Although prices of used Blackberry Pearl's have been dropping, you still cannot get one for less than $150. $130 is a great price for a brand new Pearl even if you have to sign a contract a two year contract. In Canada, the cheapest you can get the Pearl is $124.99 on a three year contract!

he works for tmobile...so you do the math

the OP who said i dont have to get rid of my faves, well how much do i have to pay extra to be able to check my comcast e-mail, i could use the web based mail.comcast.net if i have to im not picky, and want to browse full internet (no stream video). So what am i looking at 4 that? *edit I just found out it is the old one WITHOUT wifi....now im not sure i even want it

I just upgraded to the Pearl from the LG VX-8100 with Verizon. Cost me $100.00 with a 2 year contract. Best $100.00 I spent in a long time. Of course now my monthly bill is double.

That is a great deal for a brand new pearl. I would definitely pay that.

Snatch it up.. especially if its new like that... people are selling them used and beatup for that much... then wait till the 9000 or something better drops and use the upgrade for that

Great deal!
I love my pearl, even though I wanna move up to a better version, its a great device.

So you have to choose to wait to upgrade in November or get the Pearl for $130 now? Seems like an odd pair of options.

Worth is subjective. I mean, you couldn't pay me to take a Pearl. Seems like a good price for one though.

$130 is very good. You should go for it. Its a great phone. I have it and the Curve.

Posted by: konflict

to the OP that said it was an odd pair of options. No really a choice just wont have to use my upgrade for the pearl, but i might WANT to use my upgrade by november for a new phone then i just bought a pearl for nothing. But like i said it is NOT THE ONE WITH WIFI ....so now i think it is a waste

I think we are all under the impression that you were offered the Pearl for $130 without a contract thus you wouldn't be using your harware upgrade. Now, judging by your last comment it sounds like you're going to have to sign a contract to get the Pearl for $130??? If that's the case then the situation is much different then we all interperted it.

Jesus christ.....i dont know how much CLEARER i can be if you read all my posts it is pretty clear....i was offered a damn pearl from a guy who works at tmobile, who probably stole the piece of ****. The upgrade i was going to possibly use for one of the newer 3g phones that should be out by november. I found out that the pearl had no wifi so i dont want it now. Thank you for your help but i dont want it now because there is no wifi, so piss on the thread lock it thanks.

Who took the jam out of your donut? It's still a great deal. Are you really going to use WiFi that much?

I got a barely used pearl just a week ago for 100 even.

So you do or don't want the phone. I am a little confused.

He doesn't want it anymore because it doesn't have Wifi

I would definitely grab the Pearl. Having one has been my most enjoyable phone ever.
