I ordered a razr v3m from ebay. It is new for alltel. I was wondering, Can you set your mp3s as ringtones on it?

And my sister has a new v3a and it doesn't have messaging tones. When i text her it plays my custom ringtone.

Does the v3m do this as well or can I set a messaging tone for it?

I believe you will find that it has the ability to assign
ringtones to Inbox (messages), but if a Ringer ID (custom ringtone)
is set for a Contact, that will be played instead.

Yes that is exactly what is happening. Oh well I guess we will have to deal with it.
