i currently have 99 a month unlimitied text and calls plus unlimited blackberry addon for 19.99...
i use both a blackberry and a iphone on the smae account
problem is this im trying to fix but dont want them to tell me they wont tech support or charge me add fees
....copy from another post i had made...
Ok i have a tmobile plan and i have been having some issues with the service...i had ported the number from metro pcs a couple years ago.
i live in miami our area code is 305
i have a 305 area code on my phone that is based out of key largo, about 60 miles south of me...
if people call me from a landline in the 305 area code they need to dial 1-305 or else it will say the number is not in service....
now im having the issue with some people and cellphones cant reach me either...they dial 1-305 and just 305 it says number not in service...
the phone is in service and works fine,,,i can recieve text messages form them but no calls....i can call them without a problem....only a few people with cells have had this problem reaching me....landlines on the other hand everyone thinks the number is disconnected....
i cannot change my number it is a business line.,.what do i do?

I am also with T-Mobile and i also have an Iphone with no problems. As a matter of fact cust service assisted me in setting up the phone. remember they sell it in Europe, so they have to support it when their European customers come over here. Call them and they will be more than able to help you sort it out. The only thing that will not work is the visual voicemail , but i can live with that.

YOU GO TO JAIL!!! jk... nothing. think of it this way; it's like you were using a phone made for a non-american market. it just means you can't get any support from them for the device.

tmobile will give you support on the iphone, hell i have use CS for setting up other phones that were not sold by tmobile

They dont care... the probably are doing the same thing. Its not illegal. You can use any phone you want on their network... as long as it is gsm and unlocked

why lose you as a customer, they are more than happy to assist.

When I called CS for my other line (a BlackBerry) _they_ told me that I was using an iPhone. No problems.

As others have said, T-Mobile CS is at least agnostic and usually supportive of phones you bring to the network. They've worked with me on Treos (Palm and WinMob) in the past.

(Treos. Sigh. Too bad about that company. Incompetent. Couldn't hit the ground with an egg if you squeezed the chicken for them. But I digress.)

Could it be an Area Code overlay? I know here in Los Angeles we have to dial 1-310-xxx-xxxx to reach any number in the 310 area code. Even if right next door.

Sounds like when people dial 1-305-xxx-xxxx it works but not when they just do 305-xxx-xxxx.

..what do you MEAN when they find out??when your phone is activated they get the IMEI number and that TELLS them what model phone you have

Yeah I dialed 611 and was talking to them, I asked if they knew which type of phone I was using and they said "are you using the iPhone?" I said "yes, how did you know?" they say "whenever someone asks if we know what phone they are using they are usually using the iPhone." hahahahahaha I died laughing.

My wife works for T-Mobile (tech support) and she takes her iPhone to work everyday.

Yes off all three big US carriers T-Mobile has kept me the happiest in this area. I actually told the sales clerk that I was planning to buy and unlock an iPhone and he said to call CS for help if I needed it lol.

well not unless the op wants to stream youtube.

TMobile already knows what phone you have

All they'll do is snicker a little at AT&T and thank you for your business

You might want to switch from the BB data and just go with the $19.99 unlimited data (Unless you actually swap the SIM tween the iPhone and a BB, then just ignore me)

I know T-Mobile put a notation on my account that I use an iPhone when it comes to support issues. Otherwise, they pretty much congratulate me for using an iPhone on T-Mobile.

It's been nearly a month from the OP, but it looks like you were just having a few issues with porting over your number. Hopefully those issues have resolved themselves.

I've been successfully using the $19.99 unlimited Blackberry plan on my iPhone without any problems. I think it's nice to switch between an iPhone and a blackberry. Now if only I could figure out how to clone my sim and save from having to swap the sim card from phone to phone.

When I was first setting up my iPhone on Tmo, I called the CS and actually told them that my internet was not working and I was using an unlocked iPhone.

I was on BB unlimited plan. Then the tech told me that for iPhone I have to be on the total internet plan and moved me from my BB plan and then gave me the settings for the EDGE to work my iPhone.

They are cool about it. They dont care. If at all, Apple should do something about it, not Tmo.

ive been to 3rd party tmobile sellers and they ALL carry iphones if not bb curves.
