Well, I just spent the better part of the afternoon setting up my caller i.d. ringtones on my V9m because of the "latest and greatest" software the commies at alltel have provided. Now I find out that I can't bluetooth to my laptop anymore. WTF?

Anybody else having these problems? If so is there a fix?

Yeah, yeah I'm sure the these questions have already been answered somewhere so go ahead and flame me, but I've spent enough time today fixing the ringtone problem and I'm tired of being on this dang computer. Plus I just plain lazy. So sue me.

could you tell me the what software version you have... If it's the 02.0D.0BP then they have blocked the bluetooth capabilities except for bluetoothing pictures and music to use for mp3's.
if you have found a work around on this software to actually apply the different ringtones to different people I'd love to know how you did that... They just put this blocking feature on rescently so I am looking at a work around...

Yeah, that's the software version I have. As far as the ringtones go, I can apply my mp3's to whoever I want after a bit of tweaking. Check out this thread.

Does this mean that DUN doesn't work anymore? I just returned my V9m that I had bought a couple days ago because it had a defective camera. It also wouldn't let me apply a mp3 as a ringtone, but the one that I got as an exchange is completely functional. It has an older software version- 2.0C.14P

Guess who won't be doing a software update
