WTF? We don't even know what's offered on the 3G iphone but 3G...

We still haven't seen the spec sheet to the next iPhone yet. Replace it with Xperia X1.

I may end up getting the BlackBerry Bold just for the subsidized price I may get at AT&T. It has the smallest screen, but it may have the best price, the most stable OS, and one of the longest battery life running on a 624MHz processor.

X1 looks to have the most versatile spec sheet over the Bold and Diamond. iPhone is still the wildcard.

And have to say it's a very nice looking phone and the specs sound awesome... except the 2mp camera. I'd definitely consider it.

One article said 3.5G technology... is that really different than the iphones upcoming 3G or is it just labelling? With the possible speeds I read on the 3.5G for the Blackberry, if it allows tethering and the data price is not crazy... It would be hard not to consider it if the iphone doesnt match the specs.

well, for me HTC Diamond is much more tempting. Will be getting this instead of Iphone 3G

- It is lighter and more pocket friendly
- VGA screen
- video recording
- built-in GPS
- better browser (opera 9.5)
- full BT / USB etc
- more capable OS incl. multi-tasking and huge 3rd party apps.

3G iPhone. Quite simply, the browser and the music interface should stomp all over the BlackBerry Bold and Touch Diamond -- Opera just won't be that great, since you can't do multi-touch gestures. And will it be as fast?

Also, let's not be too hasty to tout the Diamond's features. We don't know what Apple will add to the iPhone yet! GPS sounds like it could well be added. I also wouldn't put it past Apple to add stereo Bluetooth.

The iPhone does do multi-tasking -- even now you can play music while you browse, for example. It's chiefly third-party apps that (currently) encounter the limits. Also, don't rule out the iPhone's app support, even early on. There may well be some nice 3D games from companies you recognize, and we already know some major biz apps are coming over (such as ePocrates).
