um how exactly do you get the themes? i went to the site but wasnt prompted to download anything. all i saw was the screenshot above masked by a white covering??? when i click it it takes me to the screenshot above, but still no downlaid...what gives?

DIRECTLY below the image of the phone it says DOWNLOAD and you can select if you want to download the zip or OTA and for which model...

I just manually typed in the OTA link http://elecite.eveek.com in my BB Browser, and the page popped right up. I already bought the iBerry, but I did download the other two. The Precision theme is now my all time favorite ! It is very very nice.

Strangely the iBerry theme won't show up in the themes list...even after a battery pull...downloaded it twice just to be sure without luck.

This isn't the first time I've had themes play hard to get...any ideas on cause/fix?

anyone have the problem with the precision theme that when they go off zen to the full menu, the background is the bb theme background (the road/sky) all the icons match the theme still though. i'm assuming the background is supposed to be black or something? everything with the theme is fine except that one screen.

Launch your media app, select a photo, then from the BB Menu, select "Reset Home Screen Picture" or whatever. This will set the background to the one from the theme and icons will be easy to see.

Ok, I will try to answer some of the questions I read here

1. It is not possible to add custom icons for 3rd party appls such as facebook, jivetalk, etc. They have their own icons and we all need to stick with those. Pretty sad I know lol

2. Someone said iPhone theme wont work? Could be cause of the OS ure on. What is it? and what model are u downloading it for?

I wanna go for the Precision theme but have never downloaded a theme before. My question is can I still use the wallpaper I downloaded onto my BB ? Or will this theme not allow me to change the wallpaper. Basically I like the look of the icons and stuff but wanna keep my baseball teams logo as my wallpaper as I have now.

U can always change the wallpaper. The zen screen wont let u do it thou since its a mask but the home screen u can. Thats for precision theme

ive noticed with the percision theme on my 8330 that when the BB messenger icon is up..half of it is cut off and hidden under the wallpaper.

is it just a placement issue? possible to get fixed?

I took a picture and covered up the lens so it came out black. set it as my home screen and it looks great!

i'm running 4.5 and seems as though today themes work fine, but zen themes have this problem with the homscreen.

It is very much possible to do. But it would be against Plazmic policy for us to release it just yet. We're good friends with them and would like to keep it that way

I have never liked any Plazmic theme I have ever used...and have never liked a Zen theme, always preferring to use an Icon one...

But...I am totally loving the Precision Zen theme on my 8310!!!

I cannot seem to activate the iberry or any other theme on my Telus BB Pearl. I unzipped the files and loaded the .alx file with the desktop software. The themes show up under Options>Advanced>Applications. But when I go into Options>themes all I see are the default themes that came with my Telus 8130.

I have also pulled the battery after installing the theme and it still does not show up.

I had the same problem with mine, until I realized that I d/l'd the 83xx zip instead of the 81xx. I'd check that first. When I was in BBDM and you scroll over the Precision Zen name it will say below if it is an 83xx app.

Hi all, we've just released an updated version of Precision Zen 1.2
The new update includes:
- Mask removed
- Message icons fixed
- Black on black fonts changed
- Blue blotch on the banner fixed
- A few other small details fixed

If you'd like to see a new and updated version of the theme, please delete your current one and simply redownload it again from elecite.eveek.com or elecite.eveek.com/wap (for OTA)

I downloades these on my 8130 w no problem the other day. I got my 8330 yesterday and have been trying to do the OTA with no luck. I keep getting an error saying the server is currently unable to handle your request. Is anyone else getting this? Im gonna try them through DM now

This is really cool, the Precision Zen Theme looks really nice on my Curve, the iberry... not so much lol. And on top of that, after installing the iberry theme, a couple minutes after, I got the dreaded APP ERROR 523 WHITE SCREEN ... scared thee hell out of me. I think I got lucky, all I did was click reset and it loaded up just fine. I then proceeded to deleting the iberry theme immediately lol. The Precision one is nice, but not for me right now, and a little hard to see. Sticking with the T-Mobile Zen for now, but the Precision Zen at least stays installed.

Themes can only be stored on the device memory and not on the MicroSD card.

I downloaded the themes onto my BB but I'm not sure where to save it. Orginally, I saved it onto my media card, but then when I try to change themes, I cannot access the zip file. Should I save it in a different folder? Step by step instructions would be appreciated...thanks!

After using the Precision theme for a few days, I only have one comment to make: The mailbox screen still leaves a little something to be desired. The color scheme and fonts do not go with the rest of the theme. It kind of looks like the default BB mailbox screen, (i.e. white background, blue highlighting etc.)

i got the Iberry one and its sweet, i love it but i find certain menus/programs (mini monitor) they aspect ratio some font is cut out and what not or for example under profiles.. they headings are like cut off anyone else has this?

A bug that I found for the Precision theme. If there are many emails in your inbox and you have to scroll down to see more, the very last email has the bottom half not visible.

I love this theme, very slick!

Noticed the same thing, its always the last email in the list. It dosen't matter how many emails you have whether it be 10 or 100.

Hey, I downloaded the Precision theme but it gives me an error. It says " no additional applications designed for your device were found". The files I'm using is Precision_Zen_1_2.alx. If anyone could help that would be great, oh yeah I have the 8820. Thanks

I can only think of a few reasons why some people are having issues installing these themes via desktop.

DM is installed on the comp, but the device's specfic OS is not installed on the comp
IT policy restrictions not allowing for the installation of third party apps and in this case themes. Otherwise it should install flawlessly.

Definitely still having issues with this theme under OS 4.5 on my Pearl; no matter how I install it, the main menu is the standard Today theme, with the Precision icons. Is this just an issue with 4.5, or is there a way around this? It's the only theme I've had issues with under this OS, so there's got to be something with the theme itself, I would think..

Guys, we cannot change or do anything bout the bugs that u see with 4.5 OS since the theme was designed in and for 4.2 OS. As soon as Plazmic 4.5 is out, we'll make sure to re-export em all and fix all bugs you're seeing on 4.5.

Before that, don't bother posting about those bugs since we can't do much even if we wanted to

When will it be released? Will it be free also? That will be the "perfect theme"...

BTW...is there any chance of enlarging the size of the screen icons at all? I have noticed that pretty much all Plazmic themes have fairly tiny icons...and font size as well. I'm not whining and moaning...just suggesting that a degree larger on those two items wouldn't be a bad thing.

Not so much needing larger icons, although my eyes aren't so great these days either. But, colored ones (like Viigo, Yahoo, Beyond411) instead of the pencil type drawing ones would be cool. Sometimes hard to ID the stencil type ones.

Otherwise, I have been using Precision since it came out and I'm loving it. Thanks again.

A Precision Today theme could be interesting. Not sure...

Sorry the 3rd party icons cannot be changed by anyone not even us. As for Precision Today, well, most likely you'll see an L shape rather than today.

Actually, most of the icons I might like changed are the stencil looking pre-installed (OEM?) ones, like the phonebook, BB Msgr, Email Accounts, BB Browser, options, tasks, etc.

Seems that third party ones are usually already colored and visually obvious as to what they are...

Yeah, been getting a error 503 on OTA all morn...

Not too worried, not a lot different than the Zen theme I have already.

I'd happily pay for a Today theme like this that had the white out text issue and some other lil things fixed. Some apps I go to (yahoo IM for one), the menus are whited out and you can't read the menus unless you are scrolled to the particular one.

Nonetheless, for a free Plazmic themes, I've enjoyed it for a couple weeks now.

Yeah, I registered (didn't have to do that before) and go to the pages now, and all I see for Precision is the Precision 9000 ZEN download, not the Precision 9000 L.

www.elecite.eveek.com/wap is the only OTA DL page I can hit and it isn't there. Just the previous ones are.

www.wap.eveek.com is a 503 error....

This "white out" issue you speak about is actually not eVeek's fault. It's a the Plazmic theme libraries which are at fault. Whenever an app overrides the background color in the menu system, it should automatically enforce the default black for the foreground (text) color. Typically it's not a problem because most themes are light backgrounded with dark foreground colors, but the Bold uses an inverted color scheme.

I'm personally tickled to death with this new trend as I'm visually impaired and the inverted colors are more easily seen to me. I believe the Precision theme has a permanent home on my Curve. If an app decides to be stupid and mess up the colors, well I'll just have to live without it.

By the way, the new Flickr Photo Uploader from RIM has the same issues with the text colors. If you scroll across the text, you can read it that way. I'm okay with it for now, but they better fix the libraries before Bold hits or lots of people won't be able to read anything.

The Precision L-theme Beta has been removed from the theme selection on eVeek.com, so there may be a problem with the link that they are working on.

Hope so. I have been using a Dimension L-Theme lately instead of the Precision Zen theme...and have really gotten to like the L-theme setup.

Yeah, kinda figured it had been pulled cuz I looked all over.

I wouldnt have even looked THAT hard, but eVeeks said to "read carefully" for it, so I thought it might be nicely hidden for some reason.

I think I asked about a Precision today, didn't seem likely was the response I was given. I would seriously love it.

I'm excited about seeing how the Precision L would be as well.

I'm a lil weirded by the Plazmic libraries whiting out some application's menus. So I'm sure if they developed a Precision style theme using a different libray of their own that had less issues, I'm liking it so much I'd just pay for it at this point.

Nonetheless, I appreciate this theme and it being free. Bravo guys.

bold theme doesnt work for me on 4.5. The time on messages seem to be cut off. like it would read 12:4.... also my EDGE sign seems to be in bolded blue, and looks choppy. Is it only me or are others having this problem too?

Ah sorry guys took so long to respond. The themes might not look perfect on 4.5 OS that's only cause they were developed for 4.2. As soon as 4.5 is officially out, we'll be able to re-export em all.

Hey guys, just downloaded the precision theme to my Verizon Curve.

Quick question though, when I receive emails, I get the red blinking light but no sound notification.

I have checked my settings and can't find anything wrong but am not sure everything is set up right.

I would like a beep along w/ the flashing light to notify me of emails.

I have the issue in yahoo messenger. White text on white menu backgrounds throughout. Sort of an issue I guess.

I believe someone in theis thread or elsewhere told me it was due to it being a Plazmic beta theme or something like that.

At least the Newest Yahoo Messenger I just downloaded, changed the menuing tect/background scheme in some areas and that helped that particular program somewhat, but it's definitely a problem.

So do these themes make the OS not so ugly anymore? IMO, the ONLY thing keeping me from getting a blackberry is that awfully ugly and plain OS, especially like option menu's, texting.. it's just black text on a white background. It's very boring, and I would get tired of looking at it! Do these themes add like color and graphic type things to the incredibly ugly/boring menu's on the BB's?

Dude...could you use the terms ugly & boring a little more in your post? You're leaving room for other words...
