Hey, I just got mine working and all (its on Fido in Canada, BC currently)

i have an issue, I originally had it ...umm unlocked in one way, and all but one game worked, so then i hypersimmed it and the phonei s great BUT the games all locked themselves

the message i get is "the owner is different"

any idea how to stop that?
its all of those S!App things ><!

the like ..space invaders game etc..
any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

how was it unlocked before the hypersim? and games all locked themselves? did you download games before you put a hypersim in it?

you can master reset it, and I believe the games should restore itself the ones that came with the phone originally that is

if i restore, will i lose all of the stock pictures that came in the phone?

also...not even sure WHAT pictures came with the phone..because it was sent to japan to have them figure out WTF was wrong, then they sent it back with more content on it..

no i didnt download any games

when i first got the phone it was brand new and ONLY one game worked, space invaders did NOT work, same issue, NOW though they ALL DONT WORK
which is freakin annoying -_-;

how does one master reset it? and whats the process, you reset, then what happens?
does it ask you for info/ ask you for a password?
i dont know anything about rsetting phones

it wasnt hypersimmed before, a different method was used which proved to be quite bad.

The game goes by SIM owner, if you change your SIM, you technically are not the official owner. I have a Toshiba 902T, it does that when the owner of the game isn't the same as the owner of the SIM. But if you put your previous SIM back, it should work.

what was the method used before hypersim?

when you master reset the 705p, it should have a few wallpapers and menu themes on it, from the factory. The reset code is 9999. It should be in the settings menu.

If you have a bluetooth adapter to a pc you should be able to send out the aditiononal pictures.

another question:
ive popped a micro SD memory card into it
and it says its unavailable when i try to access it or try to format it via the phone

any help on that or ideas?

I couldnt get a microsd to format on my 705p for some reason, same error as you, unfortunatly I did not have my 705sh at the same time so I could not see if I could format it from another softbank phone and then try it on the 705p. Thought it was my memory card, but its working fine on 705sh and 920sh.

If you know anyone with another softbank like 705sh, 920sh, etc try to format it in their phone. not sure if it will work,

what if the phone is a 705sh but set to work on VODA..like it says vodaphone on it..wil that suffice?

I dont think so, the vodafone 705sh/904sh use a slightly different directory structure with the folder naming, wouldnt hurt to try though

i agree about the 705p being complicated...

see NO ONE has this phone here, theres no other softbank users i know of

so im kind of screwed ist here anyway for someone to format me one here and i can just buy it from them? thru paypal or something?
cuz im getting really frustrated

wait, what if i format it using a 705SH
and then change the directory names on my computer to match what my 705PX WOULD be looking for to find the media files?
also can you stick wallpapers in as well as songs/ringtones?
AND what is the folder names that the 705 reads ? like is it just titled "SONGS" "SOUNDS" etc?

on the 705sh/920sh softbank, it starts off like this
DCIM and PRIVATE

Under PRIVATE => MY FOLDER => then a few other folders then => MY ITEMS
here are the contens of the softbank off my memory card

and a vodafone one is like this
PRIVATE => VODAFONE => MY ITEMS.
so everything i think is similar execpt for the vodafone or my folder on softbanks. The thing is toshiba and sharp use the same for sure, but b/c I never got the memory card to work on my old 705p I am not certain for sure.

I thought there are quite a bit of softbank phone users in BC...

Also, while your at it, if you have the time, try out the tutorial to install games on the Panasonic VS3 in this forum. I figure since this is just a similar firmware to the original VS3 that you might be able to get away with installing games via the usb cable.

Hey, is there any way to get rid of that annoying "Retrieve NW Information?" window that pops up everytime I wanna go to the menu? It's seriously starting to tick me off. Also can you remove the "You are in roaming Add country number?" message that appears everytime I dial out?

repro cant be removed, and the roaming add country number also cant, with the hypersim it detects the phone as roaming with that triangle and its not removable

which it will get stuck unless you sandpaper the top of your sim

Funny, for my new USIM (that I got from Smartone) I only used a small file (like from those Gundam building tool kits) and filed a little off of the sides and corners of the sim card before attaching it to the hypersim with some sticky tape. Slid into the phone smoothly with very little effort. I don't think you need to sand down the entire sim card for it to fit. Of course, it depends on how safe you want to play it.

thats how mine looks now. it helps with sliding in and out, but I would need to cut more parts off to fit a china3gpp hypersim. INEX 128 and hypersim256 hit it ok

my prepaid sim oddly didnt need shaving and is thinner

Hey what sims will work for 705px? I just got a bunch of 705px and I was hoping that my ismartsim 2008 would work as it worked with F905 and 707SC.... doesn't work. Getting another sim in the mail this week (same one) and will try it as well, maybe this one is a dud....

ANyways, what are you all using for this 705px? I Need to sell these phone with the sim... or without but i think it looks better with the sim included u know.

Hey Kevbodian,

When I first put in the hypersim it didn't work, then I put in the pss sim didn't work. I read some of the other forums n they say u need to use some software with the phone first.

pss worked for me on cingular, it says 3g on it, so I think its a 3g sim, but its not a cingular fireball sim card

I sold mine without hypersim, with disclaimer person needs to hypersim it themelve

I just bought some new sim cards. Hopefully they will work for any docomo/softbank model without ANY CPR because I can program these.

Will keep you all updated. The 705px i have are on sale in BST as I need to keep things moving

The 705px works perfectly on Rogers or Fido so long as you have a 3G sim inserted. This has been stated before but not so clearly. A USIM is basically a SIM card with more memory and faster IC built-in to support the faster and more secure services. The 705px requires that a USIM be inserted. Rogers 3040 and Fido SM32, or older, will not work because they are regular 2G or 2.5G SIM cards. The 4000 series and the UO.2 series are new 3G supported USIMs.

I tested today on the phones I am selling in the BST and they worked perfectly with a Rogers 4000 sim and Fido UO.2.

This is why AW614 had success with his 705p on AT&T, because his sim was a 3G USIM. The term USIM, just hasn't been sold as such like with Vodafone KK/Softbank in Japan.

I have Rogers 3040 sim, it works on my 705px.

it worked with PSS, but my same cingular sim card would not work with a hypersim256 or china3gpp hypersim, I cant remember if it was invalid usim or insert usim
