go with the z9, my friend has the w580i and has some problems with the keys breaking/cracking.

I have the SE flip z750a and it's a great phone, it's too bad there are problems with the w580i

I absolutely cannot stand my w580i. And every other person I know with a w580i have had the keys break on them (which usually bad stuff happens to me, odd). I have a grey and blue version though. They all either have white or black ones.

I would go for the z9. More features, better build quality (which sucks on the w580i, by the way. Like a toy from walmart), and better call quality. Enjoy your z9

And it's a shame. The w810i set my expectations really high for sony ericsson. I bought the w580i as a backup for my iPhone in cases where I knew an iPhone wouldn't be adequate (working, being stupid, etc.) and I would rather my iPhone break than use that junk.

For "voice" (clarity and reception) I would suggest the Motorola, but for "music" I would suggest the Sony hands-down.

the best value at ATT is the 580, no question. includes the data cable and headphones. Its 1/4 the cost of the Z9. I think its even on ad right now so its even less.

yeah it depends on what price point you are looking at, but the z9 is hands down a better device
