any one pros cons?

They're essentially the same phone (give or take one or two negligible features) in a different form factor, so I would assume that it depends on whether you want a clamshell or a slider.

z9. flash on camera, slider design, GPS, menu tweaks like fading transitions and such..

how has the v9 been in reliability? z9?

I've had mine now for 8 months and it's been good.

I already did a full pros and cons in either the Motorola forum or at&t forum. Search and you will find a detailed LONG list. It basically does come down to personal preference(which form factor you prefer) since they are pretty much the same device in different bodies. The Z9 does have some extra goodies though.

I have never had a single hiccup out of any of the several V9's I have owned. I've had the AT&T branded models, as well as an unlocked/unbranded Asian-variant one...and all proved to be some of, if not the most reliable and stable phones I have ever used.

I agree that the major difference between the V9 & Z9 is just the form...and the choice is personal preference. I had the Z9 for a very brief time, and although it is an excellent performer...I just realized that I'm not a "slider" fan at all.

I had the opportunity to try both phones. Although I like the slight improvements the z9 has over the v9, I prefer the v9 overall. I thought the z9 was too big and bulky for my tastes. I'm not the type who usually uses smaller phones (I've used the N95, iPhone, sharp 903sh, etc.), but this phone just felt particularly heavy and large. It wasn't very pocket-friendly. I've used various v9's (at&t branded and unbranded/hk version) and they have all been great and solid phones. Anyway, I doubt you'll be disappointed with either phone.
