8525 Trackwheel

I'm a late smartphone adopter and recently began using the 8525 w/WM 6.0. I've read through all of the ATT 8525,MSFT Mobile, and HTC documentation and was unable to find the answers, so here it goes...Two questions:

1 - I don't see any customization options for the trackwheel or jogwheel. Did MSFT totally forget to program this into the Settings tab??

2 - Once I get to my Contacts, is there a way to jump/navigate/scroll to a specific letter of the contact list without having to use the stylus. Randomly (and not very frequently), I will get a letter pop-up without touching or pressing any buttons. There must be a way to jump to the any letter of the alphabet. I've tried to press the trackwheel in, and although the letter pop-up sometime appears, it's not consistent. Is it "user issue" or is this a WM6 bug? Thanks for your help.

i have the same phone and the way i jump to a letter without the stylus is press and hold the down button.

Thanks for the quick reply! Coincidentally, I spoke to an HTC tech rep today and they gave me the same advice, and it works perfectly....not ideal, but hey as we both agreed, it's not a Blackberry!

I use a contact manager called Finger Friendly Friends. Much easier to navigate my contacts.

Ordinarily I expect that people will simply use Google since it's the first link that comes up, but here's the link:

http://www.google.com/search?q=finger+friendly+friends
