I have a moto Q9 from sprint, i have tons of mp3s on it, thus my phone is also my "ipod". I have a stereo headset that i would like to use but it only plays on the left side of the headset. Why is this?

TIA

Seriously? Could be a bad headset or plug. Get a another headset and see if it works, also try pressing inwards on an angle on the plug to see if you can get it to come out in stereo.

no nothing is working, do PDA phones just not play on both sides with wired stereo headsets?

They do. Sounds like you have something wrong with the socket. Is it 3.5mm or 2.5mm?

Hybrid, it sounds like you have the same problem I did. You need to get the right plug that plugs into your phone. I purchased a plug so I could listen to the audio through my car's stereo by hooking it up through the auxiliary hookup. The first plug I bought gave me the one channel output, also. I went into Radio Shack, explained the problem, and the clerk got me the right one.

Another thought: have you considered just getting bluetooth headphones? Then you're not held hostage by the wires connecting your headphones and your phone.

Best thing I've bought in a loooonnnngggg time: A2DP. Don't think I could ever go back to wires.

My Q9h came with the stereo wired headset and it plays nicely on both earbuds.
