Thanks Calu. I ordered one and should have it by Friday.

I got mine from Chumbo.com for $76.99 + tax + free FedEx 2 day

Eventhough I got an email saying out of stock, they shipped the following day.

I saved over $19 vs. buying from Sonystyle.com

Fair enough

Posted by: ducsurfer

funny how they work

shipping for 1 stick is 4.80

if you order 5 shipping is 24 bucks

sony style is a no go

Thanks Calu for this info... I ordered one too.

As far as ordering from all these obscure sites that say they have 128 MS Duos in stock for less, I'm feed up with their lies (ie Goodguys and Etronics to name a few). These particular companies screwed around with me and I've reached a point where trying to save a few bucks just caused me more grief than it was worth... I believe that Sony Style won't do that to me and that’s my 2 cents +

PS I was just going to wait for MobilePlanet to get their stock in (another company I like doing business with)

Have you ever tried lifting 5 memory sticks??? Especially those HEAVY Duos? I'm surprised shipping is that cheap!?!?!

PS-I wonder, if you ordered 5, would they mail one package with all 5 or 5 packages with one? Or is it really the "Shipping and HANDLING charge?"

Note to SONY: Even the US Postal Service 2nd day air is less than five bucks, and you certainly could load a lot of those small Duo packages in one envelope before going over the weight limit!

I ordered a 128MB Stick from SonyStyle, and they shipped it in 24hours as promised. This was a HUGE surprise considering how many other websites have listed it as "In-Stock" when it was actually backordered. For me, I am willing to pay the couple of extra $$$ to not go thru the hassle of endless surfing...
The only thing is that they shipped it FedEx 2-day when I requested 1-day. I guess this is because I live in Hawaii (the price I pay to live in paradise ) However, they only charged me $8.40 for shipping so I can't really complain.
now i know the meaning of the song: "the waiting is the hardest part"

Just wanted to let anyone who lives in atlanta know that circuit city carries 128mb duo sticks all around atlanta. I've bought a few of them and they always seem to at least have 3 in stock

Thank you! I bought my Duo at CC also, despite claims to the contrary by some "first-post expert" here:

http://www.howardforums.com/showthr...threadid=135789

It was interesting - either the Reps knew everything about Duos or they knew nothing. The usual response when I asked for a Duo was to direct me to the new "switchable" A/B 128+128MB MS ("dual" confused with duo??) for older devices or the new full-size Pro MS.

Posted by: calu

hey i resent that.

I checked circuit city's website, and have been to several circuit city stores in NYC, including the one on union square, and non of them sell them here.

It just seems illogical for a store such as Circuit City to sell different products to different regions

I NEVER claimed to be a expert at anything........ maybe sleeping

Then we are even.

Old proverb: Better to only look like a fool then to open your mouth and dispel all doubt.

Translation: Let's both move on.

Edit: Are you "calu" or "calu9878?"

Posted by: ducsurfer
