8525 slow IE

just got my 8525 with att branded wm6 ROM. IE performance is terribly slow, like when loading hofo's main page and trying to scroll around. Compared to my 8125 with tmo 2.26 wm5 ROM, the wizard just smokes it, it scrolls beautifully.
so whats the deal, why does it suck like that? i don't recall the 8525 i played with at the store being like this at all. It may have been running wm5 as this was back last fall.
anyone have the scrollfix for this rom?
