New BB Curve user questions

I am new to BB's and just bought the 8330 curve. When i make an appointment in the calender for a specific time it does not make a sound to notify me about it. How do i set it to notify me with some sound or tone? Also how do i set the Curve to make a sound when i have received a new email? Thanks[

Click the Profiles icon. Then scroll down and click advanced. Click on the highlighted profile name, it will indicate "active". From there you can click into any of the notification types. Each email address connected to your BB has it's own notification. The appointments will be under "Calendar"

Profiles is a POWERFUL feature of Blackberry and can be set so many ways. Take you time and set things up the way you want. I have never owned another device that had so many options and they can change by just slipping your device into a holster with the magnet
