Ming A1200 Caller ID problems

Caller ID doesnot display name of caller nor use the stored ringtone
of caller in my fone book. Only shows the fone number..

Wireless provider is Rogers( in Vancouver Canada).

Any ideas how to make caller ID show name and use ringtone as
stored in my fone book?

try storing the number with the area code (e.g. 780-555-5555) this should work

maybe even hold down 0 for the + sign and add 1....like +16045555555, thats is what i did.

PS: I closed VR in task manager and now my 1200 has no VR, even after master reset...******

Compatibility can be an issue too. Linux aint the fav of Rogers Wireless.

Turtlepwrz...lying in bed last night recalling the received call list..
and I was remembering that all my incoming call list shows that
there is a +1 before every number...so you are right...
I am roaming out out of home territory so cannot test...but I think
you have my solution/answer!!

Any idea why Rogers does this? Add these +1 to the incoming
number?

Hey thanks ..great minds think allike or something to that
effect..

Turtlepwrz. Am back in home territory and have added 2nd set of fone numbers
with teh +1 into my fone contacts list...and YES...caller ID shows name stored
for the number and the ringtone used as assigned...

It took longer troubleshooting on the motorolafans.com site...but they eventually
came to a similar conclusion..
