Lite Phone Backup for 8525?

I currently have a 8525 and love all the feature when working on the weekdays and especially for work travel. However, I'd like to have a lighter backup phone with some important feature for use on weekends and occasions when I don't want to carry the big heavy 8525. With the essential big battery option on the 8525, it is really a chore to carry around.

The lite weight backup phone needs to have the following features:
1) Must be Quad band.
2) Must be unlockable for use with other SIM cards.
3) Must be 3G capable and be able to tether a laptop preferably via bluetooth, but cable is fine.
4) Prefer it to use the mini-USB charge plug, same as the 8525, so I don't have to carry another set of charger, auto-chargers, etc.

I'm looking at the LG CU750's, which has #1, #2, and #3, but I'll just have to make a small mini-USB adapter jumper for #4. Can someone confirm if #2 is easily doable via ATT's subsidy unlock? For #3, I think it'll be cable tether, can someone please confirm?

Any suggestions for other phones?

Thanks,

Paul

I would look at either the LG CU515 or LG Shine (CU750. I unlocked my CU400 by calling AT&T and telling them I was going out of country. They gave me the code. And I like the fact that you can very easily lock it into 3G and force the GSM Voice codec to EFR for much better call quality.
