I've been trying to upload ringtones to my phone and I keep getting that stupid error about Media Manager Runtime and Virtual something or other...

Do I have to have an actual MicroSD card in the phone for it to work??? or is there a way to get media into the phone memory without getting those errors?

Still no replies eh??? How friendly was that?

Anyway, If anyone does need this advise... Yes, you do need a MicroSD card to transfer files onto your phone ie. Ringtones, Music, etc,etc...

And for the people having trouble with Media Manager, you DO NOT need the software to transfer files... Once you get a MicroSD card in your phone it WILL act as if it was a normal flash drive (drag and drop files into the folders your blackberry creates).

As for the people who actually did stop to look at my post and knew what the answer was but decided not to reply... Thanks for your help! out of the 35 views my post got, NO ONE was polite enough to help someone out!... My RC forums are alot more helpful than cell phone forums I guess 500 bucks at the most for a ******** phone as opposed to a 2000 dollar rc race rig, wouldn't you think the RC guys would be more uptight??? I guess not eh?

The best way and highly recommended way is to use a microSD card. Loading mp3s directly into your BB will take up valuable memory which is required for optimal use of the BB. If you still want to, you would require to have your BB specific handheld software installed onto your comp that can be found from blackberry.com and you will also have to download Desktop manager. From there you will have an option to use roxio media manager which will allow you to transfer audio and video files to your BB.

How to load ringtones on a BlackBerry has been covered before, a simple search could have provided you with the answer. Furthermore you could have also referred to your manual. There is absolutely no need to rant and rave because your post was not responded to in the time frame you wanted it to.
