If I sell my Iphone how does it affect my contract? Can I just buy a new one Iphone2 and have it be replaced in my contract?

Isn't this the exact same question you just asked a few minutes ago here in your other thread? http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1371027

No the first question accidentally had the contract included. I just want to sell the Iphone.

ill buy it, and no your contract wont get affect. 250$ ill take it

Selling the iPhone won't change your contract, it'll still be there. One thing to note though, if you're going to use another phone you should change data plans. You won't be able to do much with the other phone. MMS won't work, you'll get weird texts related to visual voicemail and the Internet may not work.

I was already offered $600 for it...

if the 3g iphone is subsidized, then your current iphone contract will not be replaced
if the 3g iphone is sold the way it is now, then it will just replace your current contract

but i have a feeling that apple is going to do something for the loyal customers that just want to upgrade

No, it won't affect your contract. I went from an iPhone to a BB to a Nokia n95-4 already. No problems but definitely change your data plans. I'm on the MediaNET unlimited for $15/month now.

Like someone else said, any phone but the iPhone doesn't benefit from the iPhone data plan. You lose MMS, your voicemail can act funky, and I even had some txts coming through weird when I forgot to switch it right away. But no, it won't affect your contract. You should still have upgrade eligibility anyways if you haven't bought another phone besides the iPhone because you shouldn't have lose that by purchasing an iPhone as you did not pay a subsidized price.

Who the hell would be dumb enough to offer $600 for a used $500 phone?

Make sure that you check that Cash... get one of those ultra violet LED's in a keychain at your local dollar store... and go on google and learn how to tell when a bill is fake. Bring some hired goons with you if you meet in person.

Most people you will meet in your life are low life backstabbers, seems funny that someone wants to buy a used iPhone for so much...

I concur. That would be pretty crappy to sell it to a friend for that much when you KNOW it's not even worth that. I just sold one of our 4GB iPhones to one of my friends. She offered me 300 but I only let her give me 275, and that's only because I gave her about 120 bucks worth of accessories with it. I wouldn't sell my friend a used iPhone and rip them off. But I'm assuming it probably isn't a friend you're selling to. At least I hope it's not.

Also, if it isn't a friend, I smell a scam. A lot of scammers offer more and give you either fake bills or a bad check.

The light that someone mentioned is a really good idea. I believe it's basically just a photon type light. That way, it's easy to tell if they're fake.

Either way - it's stupid someone would pay 600 when it's SO easy to unlock an iPhone. Ziphone completes the process in about 10 minutes.

I really don't get how some people are so thick that they can't just go to google and type in unlock iphone. I'm sure they could figure it out from there.
