Ok, so I have a 4GB media card and I put music on it. Is there a way to have different "folders" to be set up so that you can separate the music into different folders?

I've set up a folder (I think) using ROXIO in the Desktop Manager but when I go into music, I don't see a distinction.

HELP!!!!

Thanks Much

I just tend to use mass mode on my BB and drag and drop my music folders into the device. not sure what rokio does to the file but my mp3's play just fine in the media player and I can use folders and playlists.

Yep. Mass storage mode. Inside your Music folder you can have all the folders you want. I have a folder for each artist. Works fine, although I'm not sure if the BlackBerry goes by folder name or ID3 tag. Probably the former though.

ive copied a bunch of music over in mass storage mode and some of it shows up in the media player and some doesnt. its all mp3 format. i dunno what to do. I'm searching like crazy!!

I copied over several artists (most with multiple albums), and the native media player took awhile to catalog everything and to show each artist. It was at least several minutes before all of them were displayed.

But even after awhile not all the music is showing up?

I use mass storage mode too and the folders show up on the phone just as they did on my computer. I believe it organizes based on the folder name not ID3 tag.
