Hey,

So I'm looking for a phone, and for some reason I've really been liking Sony Ericsson lately.

I have been die-hard Nokia all along. My previous phone was a Nokia 6300. I was just recently on vacation, and lost the phone in a taxi cab... so it's a write-off. I had a Z710 as a back-up, so thats the phone I started using when I got back. Great phone all around, although I just couldnt get past the bulky form factor and the ugly styling. So, I'm hoping you SE gurus could point me in the right direction, based on the following criteria.

a - must be quad band.
b - 2 or 3 megapixel camera. must have flash, preferably also auto focus.
c - 2 inch screen or larger, preferably at least 2.2

i bought a used samsung D900 yesterday. its slim, has the camera, had the quad band... so i'm quite happy with it. just, need something a little newer... and i was hoping for a sony ericsson. i really like their interface.

so, what do you guys say? anything SE has to suit my needs?

Any specific need for quad band? If you need 850/1900, go with K790a. Meets all other requirements and is a great phone.

nah, never liked the k790... too big and bulky.

Ok, just wanted to put it out there since it met the requirements. It has a sweet camera on it.

How about the w890i?

Slim, 850 band, good camera...

i'd say the k850 if there were not so many seemingly random issues with it. i personally think it's great, i've had no problems at all since i unlocked/flashed it. even before then the only thing was here and there it would restart all on it's own, but my tytn did that too

ya, i actually had a look at this one... very nice. only thing is, the lack of autofocus and flash on the camera is a huge downfall. autofocus is key for taking close-up pics, especially text. don't know if sony has a macro feature, but i can't gamble on that. and flash is so good for low-light pics...

any input? perhaps i am mistaken, and this SE camera really doesn't need autofocus or flash? what do you guys say?
