So I am on Verizon and I need a new phone, i have had 5 LG VX8300's now and I am sick of going and getting them replaced, and want to get some thing else for the next 6 months till my upgrade. I have about $150 to spend on a new phone right now and I kinda want something with a full keyboard but I dont really care, and it needs to have a good Mp3 player on it, the phones I am looking at are:
Moto Q
Samsung Juke
LG enV
LG Chocolate
Samsung Alias
LG VX8700(Maybe)
Can someone help me decide?

id go with the alias if u text a lot
since all the mp3 parts will basically be the same
(except on juke and chocolate)
chocolate has the best music player

well if you want a full keyboard and a good media player go for the Q9m because obviously M stands for Media and the verizon homescreen is built for music and video on it
and the keyboard is utterly fantastic for texting
my friend has the enV and she really likes it... its a little fat for me but it has a nice keyboard that is really spaced out
bad media player though.
i hate the Juke because its so small .. texting is not fun and i like big screens so its something i would say no to right away
the alias should be great for texting though! other then that i dont know much about it

Yea I think I am getting the Alias, because the keyboard is pretty good for my hands, and the screen is nice and big and I found one at a good price, but I am looking at a Juke today, but I dont thinkg I am gonna buy it because its way to small for me, and I text so much that i need a key board so The Alias is what I am gonna go for, thanks for you ideas.

Wow, can't beleive you have had such bad luck with the 8300, its supposed to be a solid phone.
Go with Env2, now that its out

I totally agree with Bassburnout. I own the env2 and it is a FABULOUS phone! It has a great mp3 player with access directly to the music menu from the front (no need to flip it open) and it has a full QWERTY keyboard.

I know someone that has an enV2 and it plays music randomly. Also, yes the Juke is too small. I also know someone who has a Chocolate that plays music randomly and texts people randomly. The Alias is cool looking, but has bad RF, like all Samsung phones (I hate seeing the no service indicator come up!). Which leaves the Motorola as the simple choice. Motorolas have the best sound quality and signal strength of any CDMA manufacturer. Also, it runs Windows Mobile and has Windows Media Player on it, which gets you away from the crappy Verizon UI.

Random song playing? Hmmm...sounds like operator error to me. I own the env2 and I don't experience that problem. There is a shuffle option and a playlist option as well as Play All. Pretty straight forward. I totally disagree on the signal strength comment and Motorola. I've had the Rizr, the Razr and some other old school Motorolas and they freak out whenever you go into a building (especially Walmarts, oddly enough) I don't have that problem with any of my LG phones.

If its randomly playing music, its not a defective phone, its a defective customer

Well I went with the Samsung U740 (Alias) because to buy a enV2 out of contract would be way to much money to spend when I can upgrade in about 6 months, and the fact that I had so much trouble with the VX8300 surprised me too because it was rated so high and was claimed to be very reliable, but I got a defective set or something.
