Just got my P800, using the search i have got the SMS, MMS, E-Mail, and internet browser to work like a charm. But one problem, every time i try to connect to aim using T-Zones i get this error: "An error occured in the communication with the WAP gateway. Check WAP account settings in the control panel"

Does anyone know what this is and how to fix it? I would really like the use of AIM but don't need MSN or any other multi-service app. Thanks

I think you get that error when your preferred internet account is not the one being used. Not sure if that made sense...but i have two SIM cards..and when i swtich them sometimes i forget which one i have in and try to connect to GPRS and obviously it won't go through and gives me that message. Check that your preferred accounts are well set?

Tried that, i even deleted my custom settings and had Sony resend the gprs settings back down, again everything works but not aim, still the same error, any other ideas?

ok...let me see if i can try to find out what's wrong...

you want to connect to AIM through GPRS right?

tell me, do u have to install an application to run it? or just use codes/settings from the SP?

I'm asking because i never really used AIM while i'm on the go in the US. Only when i'm at home, and here people rarely have Aol or use AIM( whether on pc or phone).

yeah aim through gprs. And i access it directly through t-zones, no additional software needed.

and you say you have no problems accessing any other sites on t-zones?? that is very weird...Well i can't think of anything that could be doing it...sorry about being clueless on this one.

Suggestion... Install TipicME. It's a Jabber client, so you can access just about every major IM network. It's also a lot easier to use than AIM through T-Zones.

where might i find that, and how much?
