I live in the Los Angeles area and Metro is new to the area, but both companies offer very attractive unlimited plans. I am looking for something with calls/txt, maybe web, but not really a huge deal... but I just can't decide :|
Been doing as much research as possible, but nothing really puts me over the edge to pick one or the other. First off I think all their phones are just meh
I wish both had a better selection. If I picked Metro I am leaning towards the u520 only because it looks like a decent phone under $200. The ROKR is nice, but almost $300, zzz. Then Boost pretty much only has one phone I'd consider, the KRZR, but I really don't know about this phone... good/bad?
Then I looked into the quality of their network. A lot of people have told me Boost is better because it is backed by the Sprint network, where as Metro is relatively new and growing in the area and might not be good yet. Also another thing I read EVERYWHERE about Metro is how horrible their CS is. Don't really read any complaints on Boost about that.
Probably the last comparison is what you get for $. Seems Boost is a little more expensive, but more flexable on roaming with only 15 cents a min, where as Metro can be a lot more. I also read some fine print about how Metro charges a monthly fee if you have your number ported over, can anyone confirm/deny this?
Either way I need to pick one of these soon, my Verizon contract is about up, and I can't wait for unlimited. What do you guys think??
I'd say my biggest deal with both companies is the selection of phones. I also read how people are cloning their ESNs to work with PPC6700's, etc... very tempting, but the legality of it kinda bothers me, plus afraid if I went this route only some services would work :|
Help me decide, I've literally been trying to decide for over a week, wasting many hours looking into both sides. ahhh!!

So yeah I guess the real questions are...
KRZR vs u520
Sprint network vs Metro up and coming network
Unknown support vs terrible support (from what I read)
$55 (talk/txt/web on Boost) vs $45 (talk/txt/web on Metro)
