When is HoFo gonna get a "Launcher" desktop icon?

You know, like Crackberry, PinStack, etc. I know this isn't "Blackberry only" site like many of the others but I know alot of use it from our BB's. Hell, I'd make one but I'm an idiot when it comes to stuff like that.

Gosh this would be so great. I do not use Pinstack and Crackberry because I really do not have that much time. But I do read posts in HowardForums fairly frequently. A HowardForums button on the launcher would be AWESOME!

can't you just bookmark it in your browser? whats the difference between that nad a launcher?

Launcher you can put right on your home screen for easier access.

I have both the Crackberry.com and Pinstack launcher icons on my Curve's homescreen...and have long wondered why the largest mobile phone forum on the worldwide web was letting these smaller sites get all the glory...

Howard...give us our launcher icon!!!

I'd been wondering for a while why there was no HoFo one, it would have a place somewhere on the L for sure. Does anyone know if its hard to do? There are a few websites that I wouldn't mind adding to my homescreen.

hopefully the new browser on the 9000 will make a launcher worth while. hofo sucks on the current browser imo and the wap version

I totally agree.

Seems like Crackberry.com, Blackberryforums.com and even (ehem...) pinstack.com all have wap versions of their web forums that are great on the BlackBerry default browser (and two out of three have desktop launchers to help their members)...but, does the largest mobile phone web forum on the planet???

Answer: Noooooooooooooooo....

You guys can create your own HoFo launcher. I use this app found HERE . Just follow the instructions on the site to download the utility and at least 1 shortcut.

Here are the settings I use on my BB:

Title: HoFo
Site: http://wap.howardforums.com (I use this cause it loads faster on the BB browser)
Icon: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...ms/hofofeed.jpg (If someone wants to make a nicer icon that would be GREAT

)

That's a cool workaround...but until HoFo provides a better, more browser-friendly WAP site, then the launcher is not serving to it's fullest.

Yeah it is a pretty good option. Some one on here has or had a square HoFo avatar that would make a great button, but I cant find it now for anything. Does anyone know how I'm talking about?

How about an 1/8" square, with HoFo lettered (or maybe HF instead)...or something similar. And...it needs to be available for OTA installation on the homescreen via the BB browser.

The one linked to my website won't work, but the photobucket one should be downloadable OTA. I don't have a BB to test it but I believe that it should work.
