Hey,

I just cracked my T-Mobile Dash screen (cannot see anything), but I still need the contacts off it. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about how to get the contacts off the phone without needing to look on the screen to do it.

Thanks,
Mike

ActiveSync?

Unless you can get someone kind enough to walk you through step-by-step to which buttons to press to copy your contacts to your SIM.

Does active sync let me do it entirely without looking? Or do i have to press buttons to confirm and connect the Dash to my computer?

If its already set that way then no you don't have to push any buttons. But since your asking you probably don't have it set up that way. You should be able to just choose to copy over your contacts when active sync asks you how and what you want to sync on your pc.

You should be able to set up activesync on your dash without seeing the screen. The steps are in the user manual. Just make sure to do each one carefully so you don't miss a step.

Here is the T-Mobile dash user manual in a pdf format

Hope that helps

I just found my Dash screen cracked... pissed because it just "happened", without any dropping, mishandling etc.

Anyways, I found that this is apparently VERY common and replacement screens are sold for about $30 in many placed, including ebay (the deals include the couple tools required to do the replacement). So I don't know about you, but its worth $30 to me to fix the screen. Just search for "dash lcd" on ebay, or Google.

If you carry it in your pocket thats what cracked it. As you move it can put lateral stress on the screen, cracking it.

Your best option would be to sync your phone with activesync.

You can also look at MyMobiler which will allow you to view the screen on your PC.
