If I buy a curve, I am going to be putting it in my pocket all the time (no belt holster or any of those). I just wanted to hear about you guys who carry it in your pockets too. How is it having to keyboard lock and unlock all the time. Also, does the trackball have any issues after carrying in pocket?

Locking and unlocking is not a problem. Either long press the top button or press 'k' to lock it before putting it in your pocket. To unlock use the top button or press '*' + 'talk'.

The trackball, screen and keyboard had no problems at all. Some people have had problems with dust getting into the Curve and becoming visible behind the screen. I would imagine that pocket carry would just make that problem worse.

Carrying it in your pocket makes the trackball much more susceptable to lint and dirt getting around the contacts and making it inoperable. I don't recommend it at all.

So most curve users carry it in that belt holster? I have always carried my cellphones in my pocket and as a student, I rather just slip it in and out of my pocket.

i have been carrying my curve in my jeans pocket and never had any dust etc problems..if your paranoid about it then holster it otherwise no problems

If I did get a dust problem in the screen or trackball causing it to not be functional, could I take it to Rogers (can they do something about it) or do I have to send it into RIM?

I carried the 8830 naked in my pocket with no problems whatsoever and am doing the same with the Curve.

Same here. The curve is smaller and lighter than my 8830 and feels awesome in my pocket. I haven't had problems with dirt because I leave it by itself in the pocket; never put anything else in the pocket with it and I haven't had a problem.

Not a big deal IMO but I have a password on it anyway as I really don't want my stuff shared with the world.

Not so far but it's only pocketed on the weekends and after hours.
