No Messaging outside Network?

Hey guys I've had my Pearl 8100 for over 3 months now and i wouldnt part with it for anything. But when SunCom (south eastern us) merged with T-mobile i lost all text messaging outside of my network. I've tried numerous things including calling Text Support and with no luck. Although when i changed out my sim chip into my fathers phone (who has a RAZR v3) text messaging outside my network worked fine. I'm stumped ..any ideas?
oh and my phones Main manufacturer is AT&T unlocked
