Hi I'm having a problem wit my U6, I got it on ebay last month but I did have time to really mess around with it till last weekend, any heres the thing...

there seem to be something with the phone book; it will not sort alphabetically, and wont jump thru the contact list so u have to scroll thru the entire list (230+ contacts )

The menu items in phone book setup screen dont match what is in the manual.

There is also a problem with the category entries, only "All" and "VIPS" are shown as text, the rest are just blue or green squares

I got it sort alphabetically by copying all contacts to my PC with phone tools, erase them from the phone, sort in phone tools then copy back to the phone. And I have to keep is on the "PinYin" option in the "sort by" menu on the phone to keep that arrangement.

There are a set of numbers with no contact names, these are at the top. When i press any key (0-9) it jumps to the part of the list where numbers do have names (Andrew) always goes to the same one.

The language settings is set to "automatic" but setting to "English" makes no difference to the above mentioned.

anyone know what the prob is?

Well, you don't tell us where you are, or the phone system you are on, but that phone has an international flex on it, clearly including chinese. What happens if you manually set both "language" and "sort by" to english? Also, go menu>message>create message>new short message>menu>entry setup and make sure it is set to english
